  • GED Assistance

    The Department of Education has programs to help eligible Adult Tribal Citizens earn their GED upon pre-approval.  This Program will pay for the GED testing for Pokagon members anywhere in the United States. Tribal Members in the 10 county service area are asked to apply for WIA services first if they meet the eligibility requirements. 

    • Eligibility:  Any Pokagon Band Adult Tribal Citizen seeking GED assistance who has completed the GED Application packet and has been pre-approved for services. Anyone who is between the ages of 16 to 18 years should contact the Training Specialist and/or K-12 Coordinator to discuss services available.
    • Enrollment Process:  Those interested in GED Assistance should complete and turn in the GED Application packet and contact the Training Specialist at the Department of Education.

    Resources available upon pre-approval:

    • GED Testing fees
    • Odysseyware online GED study program and/or GED Study Labs (M/W 5:30 - 8 p.m.) and (T/R 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. & 1 -3 p.m.)
    • Other services (i.e. tutoring, gas cards) based on need
