Special Units 

The Pokagon Police Department is comprised of several special units in addition to Patrol, which include the Detective Bureau and the Community Resource Unit.

Selected members of the department also participate on the Berrien County Tactical Response Unit (TRU/SWAT), and the Berrien County Mounted Division, of which both units are available to the Pokagon Band in emergency situations.

The Police Department is in the process of developing a Youth Explorer Program, a mentally and physically challenging program for tribal youth, set to launch in 2013. Read more about this program by visiting the Youth Explorer section.
