  • Summer School

    Our Summer School program is a four week program that starts in July and typically runs through the first week of August.  Classes are held Monday through Thursday from  9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  The program is offered to students who are entering Kindergarten through 6th grade.  Morning academic sessions (stressing reading and math skills) are taught by certified teachers.  Afternoon sessions focus on cultural and Potawatomi language sessions along with some academic workshops.  Limited transportation from local areas are provided.

     

    • Eligibility:  All  youth in grades K - 6th grade, that are Pokagon,  Native Americans from federally-recognized tribes residing in the ten-county service area attending public school, and all Native Americans from state-recognized tribes eligible for Title VII services.

     

    • Enrollment Process: Students must have current K-12 application on file. Parents/guardians must also complete separate summer school application available in the Education Department. Applications are due April 15th. Applications received after April 15th will only be processed if there is space in the summer school program.
