E-Learning Opportunity
The Human Resources Department is looking for 20 volunteers to be part of our e-learning pilot program. This pilot program is to find citizens who are interested in learning and give an opportunity to have access to our online Learning Management System. We current have approximately 400 classes that are available via internet and would like to get feedback from those who volunteer. There is a huge selection of courses that could benefit you with your current job or give you some skills to help you find a job. Either way this is a great opportunity to learn for free.
If you are interested, please contact Matt Clay for further details.
Supervisor & Leadership Training
The Four Winds Casino, in partnership with the Pokagon Band Tribal Government Human Resources Department is pleased to announce leadership development classes available to all tribal citizens.
These classes are the same ones used by the casino in their development of internal leaders but now they are making their successful tools available to all tribal citizens, no matter who your employer is (or what employment status) and they are all free of charge to you! This is a great opportunity to see what it takes to move into your next leadership role and help build those skills working with a team that has such a positive track record.
The two class series are:
- “So You Want to Be a Supervisor”/”Obvious Choice” which focuses on looking at a supervisory role and seeing what it takes to do an effective job
- “Leadership” 1-6 focus on your leadership potential and skills and helping you to develop into an effective leader
The 3 classes of “So You Want to Be a Supervisor” must be taken in order to be effective as well as class 5 & 6 of the Leadership series, but all other classes can be taken whenever offered.
If you are interested, please contact Matt Clay for further details.
