The Ggaténmamen Gdankobthegnanêk (formerly Oshke Kno Kewéwen) Pow Wow occurs every spring and is open to the public. Ggaténmamen Gdankobthegnanêk means "we are respecting the ones we are tied to through the generations." The 2019 celebration will be held May 25–26 at the Rodgers Lake pow wow grounds.
We will be honoring Purple (domestic violence), Yellow (breast feeding), and Pink (breast cancer) shawls during the Saturday session of Ggaténmamen Gdankobthegnanêk. If you are planning on dancing with your purple, pink, or yellow shawl, please meet at 1:45 at the Eastern door of the pow wow arena.
