NEPA Environmental Assessment - Playgrounds

Kowabdanawa odë kė (PBKK) has conducted site visits and vegetation assessments in the proposed areas where there are new playground developments planned at Bgeshmo Apartments, Shkwéngen Apartments, and the South Bend Édawat Village. Additionally, the THPO has reviewed the areas for potential cultural and NAGPRA impacts.

It has been determined that building these playgrounds will not cause significant harm to local wildlife and plant species and there are no significant impacts to cultural resources.

Overall, the projects do not require a full environmental impact study.

This announcement initiates a 15-day period during which tribal citizens may review the EA and submit their feedback. During this time, tribal citizens are encouraged to examine the EA and share their comments.
