Leeks Available for Citizens
Leeks are available for pickup, following the confiscation of leeks (approximately 425 pounds) that were illegally harvested by trespassers on tribal land. To avoid waste, Citizens are invited to claim what they can use.
You can pick up leeks until 5:00 p.m. today at the Center of History & Culture, or during the How’s It Growing? activity taking place this evening at the Center of History & Culture between 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.
If you’re unable to attend the event, you can arrange an alternative pickup time by contacting Cusi Ballew at (269) 519-0097.
You can also pick up leeks at Kowabdanawa odë kė all day today, or until they’re gone.
