Home Inspections
The Community Resource Officer offers home safety inspections to tribal citizens by evaluating homes for fire safety and security. Officers inspect doors, windows, general security, egress requirements, electrical, extension cords, emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, and fire suppression systems. To arrange an inspection for your home, please contact the CRO.
Child Safety Seats
The Police Department offers child safety seats for Pokagon children. To schedule an appointment please call the Police Department at (269) 782-2232. Parents and guardians must have the child present with them to ensure that a proper safety seat is selected. A valid driver's license and Pokagon Band ID card are also required. Instruction will be provided regarding the proper use and installation of the safety seat. Safety seats are subject to availability.
Bicycle Helmets
The Police Department offers bicycle helmets for Pokagon children and adults. To schedule an appointment please call the Police Department at (269) 782-2232. Children must be present with a parent or guardian. A valid Pokagon Band ID card is required. Instruction will be provided regarding the proper use of the bicycle helmet, which are subject to availability.
